There are Angels Among Us!

Recently I've been thinking about all the ways that God send people (and even our sweet pets!) into our lives who just might be angels in disguise. I remember a book from many years ago entitled, "Angel Unaware," by Dale Evans Rogers, in which we read the story of how their disabled daughter brought her family closer to God and to one another. If we have eyes to see, we too will discover that there are angels among us.

I was prompted to create this beautiful altered book with the theme of angels . . . vintage angels, of course . . . with a focus on words and music, as a reminder of all the different times and places angels touch our lives. 

Here is just one of the inside sections that includes not only beautiful imagery of music and an angel, when you unwrap the gold cord from around the vintage button that holds the pages together, you will find tea-dyed, "aged" paper pages for journaling your own story. 

This section folds out . . . . . 

and you will find two sweet little journal books with angels on the covers, embellished with vintage buttons and pink ribbon.

In the center section there is a pocket on the left side that is filled with large journal cards, a large journal tag, and a bit of vintage sheet music, all tucked inside the pocket and held in place with my little invention of a simplified strap and "buckle" to keep all the little bits and pieces of ephemera from falling out.

The next page of this altered book has a couple of fun features . . . there is a pocket with a folded paper ruffle at the top with an angel journal card tucked inside, and a tiny envelope on the bottom with a small journal card tucked inside.

More pages, pockets, journal cards, vintage angel images, all embellished with sheet music, handwriting, and a bit of lace.

There is just so much in this altered book / journal to inspire you, to encourage you, and to offer a reminder of just how much you are cared for by God. His angels are all around us, if we take the time to see and understand.
